Multiple agencies are searching for a 32-year-old man who fell overboard from a commercial fishing vessel approximately 150 miles southeast of Hawaii island yesterday.

Coast Guard Sector Honolulu watchstanders received a phone call from the master of the vessel, Sea Goddess, who reported the mariner who fell overboard at about 4:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Watchstanders issued an urgent marine information broadcast and launched the C-130 Hercules plane and Cutter Joseph Gerczak.

Other partner assets assisting in the search include the Navy Boeing P-8 Poseidon air crew, two Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 268 (MMV-22B) aircrews and a Marine KC-130 aircrew.

The Sea Goddess and another vessel, Kamokuiki, is also involved in the search.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Coast Guard on channel VHF 16 or at 842-2600.
