The Honolulu Fire Department was unable to determine the cause of a June 18 house fire in Waimanalo.

HFD said the fire at 41-664 Kalanianaole Highway could not be determined and have classified the case as undetermined.

The fire started in the living room, but no one was home at the time of the blaze, HFD said.

Neighbors said they saw flame and smoke coming from a structure behind the house. HFD got the call to respond at 12:02 a.m. and had the fire fully extinguished by 1:19 a.m.

The blaze caused an estimated $192,000 in damage to the structure and $1,000 to its contents.
