Pali Highway to close briefly in both directions tonight
Pali Highway will be closed in both directions for a half hour starting about 8:15 p.m. as Hawaiian Electric crews restore overhead power lines crossing the highway.
The equipment was damaged when construction equipment snagged the lines this morning and resulted in the highway briefly closing in both directions. All lanes were reopened before 12:30 p.m.
The closure tonight will take place between Pulelehua Way and Hinalo Place.
Motorists are asked to exercise caution in the area or, if possible, to find alternative routes.
