An argument between two former friends and roommates over an ex-girlfriend led a Kapolei man to shoot his former roommate at point-blank range with a BB gun, police said.

The incident happened at about 2:10 p.m. yesterday when a 38-year-old man went to the residence of his former girlfriend to see her, police said. The victim’s former friend and roommate, a 30-year-old man, is now dating the victim’s ex-girlfriend, police said. 

An argument broke out between the two men and police said the 30-year-old man shot the 38-year-old man in the face, chest, hand and back with a BB gun. The victim went to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. Police arrested the 30-year-old man at a home on Waaula St.
