Clay-court entries due

Entries close today for the inaugural Waikiki Tennis Club Clay Court Championships, a men’s singles event presented by Wealth Strategy Partners.

The tournament starts Wednesday and goes through next Sunday at new courts located on the eighth floor of the Pacific Beach Hotel’s Ocean Tower.

The winner gets $650 and runner-up $350. The entry fee is $33. The tournament is open to all USTA members.

Waterman relay tomorrow

Three-person relay teams will hit the water off Waikiki for tomorrow’s fourth annual Waterman’s Relay Race.

The event begins at 8 a.m. with teams doing 12 600-meter laps on an in-and-back course. Registration is $60 per team with entries accepted until tomorrow morning in five divisions: combined ages of 119 and under, combined age of 120 and over, mixed, family and stand-up paddleboard.

Mounted shooting at Paniolo Ranch

Frank Turben, a former Cowboy Mounted Shooting world champion, headlines a clinic tomorrow and Sunday at Paniolo Ranch in Haleiwa.

HulaCross at Kalaeloa

HulaCross, in extreme off-road event with a time attack and wheel-to-wheel racing, is scheduled for May 15 at Kalaeloa Raceway Park.

Cars are available for rent for $200.

The race card also includes a post-Mother’s Day Demolition Derby and Rally Rigs demo competition.
