Boy in stable condition after his bike is hit by van
A van hit a 9-year-old boy riding a bicycle near the Keeaumoku Street Walmart Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The crash happened about 5:20 p.m. near 742 Sheridan Street behind the Walmart parking lot.
The boy rolled under the van and had an injury to his back, according to emergency communications.
An Emergency Medical Service supervisor said the boy had soft tissue damage and was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Police said the boy went to the Queen’s Medical Center.
