Decoy vehicle helps police catch suspected car thief
Police arrested a 31-year-old man Friday after he was seen stealing items from a decoy vehicle in Wahiawa.
Police said the man entered the vehicle parked in a commercial parking lot at 1830 Wilikina Drive and exit with several items about 7 p.m. Police said officers converged on the man and recovered the stolen items along with illegal narcotics.
The man, of no local address, was arrested for investigation of unauthorized entry into a vehicle and two drug offenses.
