Man, 26, in critical condition after moped crash in Ewa Beach

A 26-year-old Ewa Beach man was in critical condition Saturday morning after crashing his moped in Ewa Beach, police said.
The man was heading east on Geiger Road when he lost control about 7:26 a.m. He was not wearing a helmet when he hit the roadway, which was wet from the rain. Police said the man was taken to the Queen’s Medical Center with head and internal injuries.
Officers closed parts of Geiger Road, Essex Road and Kapolei Parkway for about two hours investigate.
