Kahuku man allegedly uses woman’s information to buy vehicle
Police arrested a 34-year-old Kahuku man Wednesday for allegedly using fraudulent personal information to buy a vehicle in July.
Police said that on July 15, the man entered a car dealership in Pearl City, and used the fraudulent information to obtain credit to buy a vehicle that was valued at more than $20,000.
The victim, whose personal information was used, was a 46-year-old woman, police said.
Police arrested the man at Sheridan and Liona streets on suspicion of first-degree identity theft, first-degree theft, second-degree forgery and unauthorized possession of personal, confidential information.
