>> Kahuku High School’s Kekaula Kaniho, a junior safety who had three interceptions in the Red Raiders’ 41-6 win at Leilehua on Saturday, was named the Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s weekly Back of the Week for defense. The “Top Performers” list on Page C5 Tuesday said he plays for Mililani.

>> Hawaiian Electric Companies said that some community leaders encouraged by Maui Electric Co. to speak in support of Hawaiian Electric Industries’ sale to NextEra Energy Inc. did so at a PUC-hosted listening session on Sept. 4 on Maui. A Page B6 story Saturday attributed that information to NextEra.
