Hawaii beach volleyball has 2 pairs honored as All-Big West

Hawaii’s Morgan Martin hit the ball at the net, Friday, at the NCAA beach volleyball championships.

Hawaii’s top two beach volleyball pairs of Emily Maglio-Any Ozee and Julia Scoles-Ari Homayun today were named first-team All-Big West and Pani Napoleon the freshman of the year.

Three other Rainbow Wahine pairs also earned postseason honors.

Earning second-team honors are Morgan Martin- Napoleon while Hi‘ilawe Huddleston-Kylin Loker and Paige Dreeuws-Sofia Russo earned honorable mention.

It is the fourth first-team selection for senior Maglio and third for junior Martin. It is the fourth straight year Hawaii has earned the freshman of year.

The SandBows (28-11) finished fourth at last week’s NCAA championships.
