Honolulu police opened a robbery investigation at a gas station in Kakaako early today.

Police said a robbery occurred at the French Wrench Shell service station at 520 Ward Ave. around 6:20 a.m. today.

According to a 25-year-old employee, an adult male suspect entered the gas station, demanded money and allegedly threatened to shoot him.

A firearm was not observed.

The employee said the suspect fled on foot with cash. No injuries were reported.

The suspect was wearing a black beanie, black sweater and dark-colored mask at the time of the robbery, the employee said.

It’s unclear whether police have made any arrests at this time.
