Man arrested in Haleiwa for allegedly threatening teen driver
Police arrested a 35-year-old man on kidnapping charges after he allegedly jumped into a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old woman in Haleiwa Tuesday morning and threatened the woman.
After driving a short distance, the man then exited the vehicle and was later arrested for investigation of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, resisting arrest and four counts of criminal contempt of court.
The incident occurred at 6:49 a.m. and the suspect was arrested at 9:30 a.m., police said.
