Lualualei Homestead Road in Waianae is blocked by debris and flowing water, forcing city buses to discontinue service on Lualualei Homestead Road, said Peter Hirai, deputy director of the city’s Deparment of Emergency Management.

“Water is going over the road and debris is blocking the road,” Hirai said.

City officials considered trying to clear Lualualei Homestead Road but have decided to wait until tomorrow, Hirai said.

“It’s too hazardous and the Weather Service says tonight’s going to be a doozy,” Hirai said.
