Hawaii swim team leads C-USA

The Hawaii’s men’s swimming and diving team remained in first place after the third day of the Conference USA Championships on the campus of the University of Houston.

The Rainbow Warriors (679.5 points) lead defending champion SMU (573.5) by 106 points. Luca Mazzurana set a meet record in the 100 fly with a time of 46.94 seconds, winning his second gold medal of the event. Divers Douglas Cohen and Thomas Rugg took first and second place on the 3-meter dive.

The championship concludes today with seven events.

Seasiders earn sweep in tennis

The BYU-Hawaii women’s tennis team blanked UH-Hilo 9-0 for the second straight day yesterday.

BYU-Hawaii’s Annie Hwang and Yuan Hia didn’t lose a game en route to their singles victory.

The Seasiders take on Cal State Northridge today at 10 a.m.

» The Seasiders men’s tennis team edged UH-Hilo 5-4. BYU-Hawaii took all three doubles matches before holding off a furious charge by the Vulcans in the singles matches. BYU-Hawaii’s Chris Adamson clinched the victory with his win at No. 4 singles.
