33 UH athletes named academic All-WAC in spring

Thirty-three University of Hawaii student-athletes received academic All-Western Athletic Conference honors for spring sports. Another 25 were named to the academic All-WAC freshmen/transfer teams for all sports.

To be eligible for the academic All-WAC team, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.0 grade-point average and participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s contests.

In all, 119 UH student-athletes were honored for the 2010-11 academic year.
