Man, 41, arrested after allegedly kidnapping ex-girlfriend, injuring her while driving around

 

A man was arrested on kidnapping and abuse charges after injuring a former girlfriend when he forced her into a car and drove around with her legs hanging out the window.

The incident took place in Kalihi about 10:50 p.m. on May 21. The suspect, 41, of no permanent address, was arrested on Ward Avenue about 3:10 p.m. Monday.

Police said that during the May incident, the 36-year-old victim was forced into the vehicle and that the suspect drove around with her legs hanging out the window.

As he drove, the woman was injured, police said. The extent of the woman’s injuries was not disclosed.

The man is being held pending charges of kidnapping and abuse of a household member.
