Hawaiian Airlines delays New York flights due to snowstorm
Hawaiian Airlines has delayed tonight’s flight from Honolulu to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport by three hours due to an East Coast snowstorm and said Saturday’s return flight also would be postponed by the same amount of time.
The state’s largest carrier said Flight 50 is now rescheduled to depart Honolulu at 7:20 p.m. and arrive Saturday at 9:55 a.m. Return Flight 51 was rescheduled to depart at noon Saturday and arrive in Honolulu at 6:40 p.m.
Customers holding tickets for the flights are advised to check Hawaiian’s website, www.HawaiianAir.com, for any updates before leaving for the airport.
Hawaiian said customers holding tickets issued on or before Wednesday for travel on Hawaiian between today and Sunday between the East Coast — including travel connecting in the East Coast — and Hawaii will be permitted to change their reservations without charge to flights departing on or before Tuesday.
All change fees and applicable difference in fares will be waived provided that changes are made prior to the departure time of the originally scheduled flight and are made in the same class of service (for example, coach to coach or first to first), based on seat availability and subject to restrictions.
Flight changes must be made by Hawaiian’s personnel in its reservations department or at the airport. Normal refund rules will apply. Customers needing assistance should call Hawaiian’s reservations department at the toll-free number 1-800-367-5320.
