Man pleads guilty to sex-trafficking in case related to Ivy Harris murder

PORTLAND, Ore. >> A Portland man accused of taking women across state lines to engage in prostitution has pleaded guilty.

Steven Huffman Jr., also known as “Flawless,” is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 23 after admitting in court Wednesday he violated the federal Travel Act by going from Oregon to Hawaii to facilitate an unlawful activity. Prosecutors say they will seek a five-year prison term while Huffman’s lawyer says probation is more appropriate.

The 40-year-old Huffman was one of eight Portland-area men arrested in a sex trafficking case last winter.

One of the alleged pimps, Mark Miles, was accused of taking Ivy Harris to Hawaii in 2013. Harris was killed by a Marine during the visit.

Miles’ trial on violation of the Travel Act and other charges is set for next month.
