Kalihi business declines to pursue charges in robbery

Police investigated a robbery Sunday that prompted officers to shut down parts of North School Street and Gulick Avenue in Kalihi.

At about 4:10 a.m., police said, a man entered a commercial establishment and brandished what they desribed only as a “dangerous instrument.” 

He then allegedly took items from two women, ages 30 and 52.

Police shut down North School Street from Likelike Highway to Gulick Avenue. Officers also shut down Gulick Avenue from School Street to Gertz Lane while they conducted an investigation.

All lanes reopened by 9 a.m.

Police said the victims did not want wish to prosecute and withdrew their complaint.
