Southeast winds to bring more vog

East to southeast winds over the next several days could make for voggy skies.

The National Weather Service said those winds should persist into the week, with the strongest winds around Hawaii island and lighter winds near Kauai.

Monday should be particularly hazy, the weather service warned.

Meanwhile, a front was dissipating Saturday near Hawaii island, bringing passing showers mainly over windward slopes.

A few passing light showers may fall over windward and mauka areas of the smaller islands, the weather service said.

High pressure will pass

to the north by Sunday

and take up a position far

to the northeast, forecasters said.
