Woman collapses after Waipahu accident
Paramedics took a 56-year-old Waipahu woman to the hospital in critical condition Tuesday after she lost consciousness and the car she was driving hit the center median barrier on Farrington Highway near Waipahu Intermediate School.
Witnesses told police that the driver passed out prior to the collision with traffic barrier at 1:04 p.m. The accident occurred on Farrington Highway near Pupukahi Street in Waipahu.
Initially, the driver only suffered a nose bleed, but she collapsed at the scene and was taken in critical condition to Pali Momi Medical Center, police said.
