L&L opens at Ala Moana Beach Park
The City and County of Honolulu has chosen L&L Hawaiian Barbecue to operate food concessions at Ala Moana Beach Park, beginning with the stand near Magic Island, in time for the annual Independence Day holiday.
Some 45,000 people are expected to enjoy the park and the beach as well as the annual July 4th fireworks show over Magic Island, according to a statement from L&L.
The stand operates from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. but will expand its hours to open at 6 a.m. beginning July 11.
L&L also will open the second concession stand near the Ewa end of the park by the end of the summer, following renovations.
In addition to traditional plate lunch choices, the beach concessions will offer L&L’s more healthful options including brown rice and tossed salad. Additionally, the company will offer food in party-sized portions for gatherings at the park.
“We are looking forward to partnering with the City and County of Honolulu to afford more options for users of one of Oahu’s premier beach parks,” said L&L President and CEO Eddie Flores, in a statement. “Kicking it off with the July 4th weekend makes it even more exciting.”
