Two Diamond-head bound lanes of Kapiolani Boulevard between McCully and Wiliwili Streets are closed due to water main repairs 

With only one lane open to traffic, motorists should avoid the area. The Board of Water Supply is repairing a broken valve on a 30-inch transmission line on Kapiolani Boulevard that forced the closures. 

The valve broke this morning while crews were prepping for a planned pipeline connection, officials said. 

Repairs are expected to continue through tonight. No customers are without service.
