Power restored after outage at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam
Power has been restored to several Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam facilities affected by an electrical outage on Friday afternoon.
The outage, believed to have been caused by a transformer blowout on Kamehameha Highway, prompted the closing of the Hickam Commissary and the Base Exchange for more than an hour on a busy Black Friday.
Power to the shopping areas was restored around 3:30 p.m.
Naval Facilities Engineering Command personnel continue to troubleshoot other affected areas.
