Winner of Polynesian College Football Player of the Year announced
Notre Dame offensive lineman Ronnie Stanley was announced as the winner of the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year this morning at the Hawaii Convention Center.
Stanley was picked from a group of finalists, which also included defensive lineman DeForest Buckner (Punahou, Oregon), linebacker Su’a Cravens (USC), kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn (Punahou, UCLA) and wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster (USC).
Marcus Mariota was the winner of the inaugural college award last year.
Stanley will be feted along with the incoming class of the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame at the PFHOF enshrinement dinner Jan. 29.

DeForest Buckner has been said to be the top player in college football. Kaimi Fairbain broke records. Maybe Im partial to local boys.
Any relation to our Levi Stanley?
I think DeForest should have received it. Stanley must have had a banner year.
WHO???
is this politically correct?
It is politically correct but would not be if the award was for the winner of the Caucasian College Football Player of the Year.
