FedEx isn’t coming to town with all gifts on Christmas Eve
Unlike Santa Claus, Federal Express is conceding it won’t be able to make all its scheduled deliveries on Christmas Eve.
FedEx is hoping to ease the disappointment by delivering packages on Christmas Day and opening counters at its Express offices across the U.S. so customers can pick up the gifts themselves.
The carrier blames the delayed shipments on inclement weather in parts of the U.S. and a last-minute surge of holiday shopping.
The counters at the Express offices will be open Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. FedEx’s other offices will be closed.
Household deliveries will be given top priority on Friday.
Customers can find out if their delayed shipment is scheduled for Christmas day delivery or available for pick up by checking at fedex.com or calling 800-463-3339.

Last seven days before Christmas, the priority parcels slows down, and the express mail volume picks up. Express mail bumps off the priority mail to the side. You get what you pay for in life.
FedEx and the Postal service are marriage, so if FedEx is late the Postal Service is later cause they are their carrier. And yes you pay for what you get for in life.
I don’t mind my bulk rat bait, ordered online, coming the day after Christmas.
Like the old saying, if you want something done. You got to do it yourself.
MONEY BACK!!!
Not over this shareholder’s body.
Hey FedEx, thanks for your millions of package success stories each day that some folks fail to recognize. Appreciate the extra effort to catch up.
My fedex delivery person is the best, no complaints whatsoever.
My neighbor gave the mail, UPS, and FX delivery person a case of beer each.
Fed-ex and other shippers should just be HONEST and NOT Lie to make money !
When you absolutely, positively…….want your package a day late.
They didn’t lie. You just didn’t read the fine print.
Never send ice cream through the mail.
Fed Ex came to deliver last night, Christmas Eve, at 6 pm. They are working hard.
I also am very appreciative of our FedEx delivery person. He is always cheerful and professional.
Got my IPAD Pro two days earlier than promised by FedEx. They even rented a Penske truck to do their deliveries with the volume they have to deliver around this time.
