2 arrested for alleged attempted murder in Kapolei

An Ewa Beach man and a Kapolei woman were arrested early Saturday on suspicion of attempted murder in the first degree for allegedly trying to kill two 18-year-old men in the Kapolei area Friday afternoon.

The 21-year-old man and 19-year-old woman were arrested at 12:47 a.m. on Hanaloa Street in Ewa Beach, according to a police report. The alleged assault took place at 5:40 p.m. Friday.

Both suspects also were arrested on suspicion of reckless endangering in the first degree.

A synopsis of the event provided by police said “one of them utilized a dangerous instrument which placed the complainants in danger of death or serious bodily injury.”

The pair are being held pending investigation.
