Hawaii island police are investigating the theft of a prized piece of sports memorabilia from a Hawaiian Beaches home.

A a pair of boxing gloves bearing the signatures of several boxers and referees who participated in the 1984 Olympic Games was removed from the residence, possibly in mid-January, police said today.
