Stanford sweeps Hawaii in men’s volleyball
Senior hitter Siki Zarkovic put down 10 kills, but it was not enough as No. 6 Stanford swept No. 4 Hawaii in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation volleyball match tonight at Stanford, Calif.
Senior middle Conrad Kaminski finished with a match-high 11 kills for the Cardinal (9-2, 7-2 MPSF) in the 25-18, 25-19, 25-16 win.
It was the second consecutive loss for the Rainbow Warriors (9-3, 4-3), who dropped a five-setter to then-No. 1 UCLA in Honolulu on Saturday.
The teams meet again Saturday at 5 p.m. Hawaii time.
The Warriors were poised to even the match when they took a 19-16 lead in Set 2. Stanford went on a 9-0 closing run behind the serves of Clay Jones to take a 2-0 lead.
Hawaii was outblocked 10-5.5, with the 6-foot-8 Kaminski in on five.

Is allie on the UHM’s men’s volleyball team?
Smackdown for sure. Reminds me of Wahine volleyball, much hype and then reality of “top” opponents burst the balloon. Except Wade don’t get a pass like Shogun Shoji does.
