UH volleyball snaps skid at 3 with win at USC
Junior hitter Kupono Fey tied his career high with a match-high 19 kills and senior hitter Siki Zarkovic added 15 as No. 5 Hawaii snapped a three-match losing skid, rallying past unranked USC 25-15, 22-25, 19-25, 25-19, 15-10 in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation volleyball match tonight in Los Angeles.
Junior middle Iain McKellar tied his career high with nine kills for the Warriors (10-4, 5-4). Senior libero Kolby Kanetake had 17 of the team’s 46 digs and junior middle Hendrik Mol was in on eight of Hawaii’s 14.5 blocks.
For the Trojans (2-11, 2-9), Lucas Yoder came off the bench for 16 kills and Alex Slaught added 11.
Hawaii concludes its four-match road trip Tuesday facing USC again at the Galen Center.
