Police looking for shoplifter from Louis Vuitton store

  • COURTESY HONOLULU POLICE DEPARTMENT Honolulu police released this security camera image of a man suspected of shoplifting at the Luis Vuitton store in Waikiki earlier this month.

Honolulu police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a shoplifter with a taste for high-end merchandise.

Police released security camera images and video of the man, who entered the Louis Vuitton store in Waikiki at about 9 p.m. on Feb. 3, concealed an item and allegedly left without paying.

The video shows the suspect, carrying a Macy’s bag, wearing a sleeveless T-shirt, plaid shorts and tennis shoes walk up to a display table, take what appears to be a wallet, and hide it behind the Macy’s bag.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call Honolulu police at 529-3111 or CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cellular phone.
