Police reopen all H-1 lanes near Red Hill after accident
An accident this morning briefly closed one lane of the H-1 freeway eastbound near the Red Hill offramp.
Police announced the closure at 6:03 a.m., but reopened all lanes by 6:25 a.m.
No serious injuries were immediately reported. However, townbound traffic on the H-1 was backed up past Fort Weaver Road at 6:25 a.m.

The perils of the rat race.
I miss going through that war zone like commute to work before I retired. The drive was even more stressful than my eight hours at the job.
The traffic from the west was like this back in the mid 1980’s. We bought a beautiful home in Miliani in 1984 and lived there for 8 years until I just could not take the traffic and the very long hours. Leaving at home at 4:30 to get to Manoa for day care, then to work in D/T Honolulu, then back to Manoa for pick-up, then home to tend to family. Did not get to sleep until midnight. Living on 4 hours sleep during the week is horrid. So we sold that house and bought in “town”. From where I sit, the traffic has not changed much; it just got worse with the development on the Ewa side. And the sad thing is you people think “rail” will help – the problem is we have very poor planning of our roadways, and more development in areas that are already saturated with CARS! These traffic issues go back to the 1980’s – what makes you think this will ever change? Same ones running the government – same results – nothing!
