Power restored after outages in Kahala, Kaneohe
Power outages affected about 1,000 customers in the Kahala area, including the Kahala Mall, and 1,650 customers in Kaneohe this afternoon.
The outage in Kahala started shortly before 2 p.m. Electricity was restored to the Kahala area customers by early evening, according to Hawaiian Electric spokesperson Darren Pai.
In Kaneohe, power went out at about 3 p.m and was partially restored by 4:30 p.m. Crews returned electricity to the remaining 650 customers about 6:10 p.m.
Pai said the outages were caused by a broken insulator on a power line.
Traffic lights were out at Likelike and Kahekili highways, police said.

roving blackouts part of HECO’s plan to force a sale?
HECO doing this intentionally so residents will support the NextEra acquisition. NextEra has seen a small company they feel they can easily take over and make a profit on us. This is what has happened when they have acquired other companies on the mainland.
HECO is like a restaurant with bad food and can’t pass the Health. Dept. inspection.
