Eastbound lanes of Nimitz Highway opened after accident
Honolulu police opened all eastbound lanes of Nimitz Highway this morning at Peltier Avenue.
The lanes were closed last night because of an overturned semi truck.
Police announced the closure at about 6:50 p.m. and reopened them at around 12:45 a.m.
Traffic was diverted onto Frontage Road.

I blame the Democrats.
Not surprising at all. These truck drivers now days are largely irresponsible, young, lead-footers. You don’t see about seven out of ten 18-wheelers exceeding speed limits, running red lights, making dangerous lane changes like they own the road, flying down freeways and highways daily? Then you’re not paying attention. I always pace for a bit when I see a semi rollin’ down the highway…..many are at or above 75 mph. These guys need to grow up – they are driving massive killing machines.
are they on some kind of commission to finish more fast?
or are they paid by the load?
or is it miller time?
