UH soccer falls at CSUN to end season

The Hawaii soccer team ended its 2016 season with a 1-0 loss at Cal State Northridge in double overtime today.

UH (9-6-2, 2-5-1 Big West) finished in a three-way tie for sixth place. The Rainbow Wahine ended their first winning season since 2008 by going winless in their last four games and will carry an eight-game Big West road losing streak into next season.

Thirty-four seconds into 2OT — the game’s 101st minute — Kourtney Kutscher received a header in the box off a free kick and delivered it into the net.

The first-place Matadors (11-4-5, 6-1-1) and goalkeeper Jovani McCaskill shut out their nation-leading 14th opponent of the season.

Time for a new Coach. Coach Buds has had more than an ample opportunity to produce a winning program but she has failed as the only thing she has produced is excuses when ever she comes on the Bobby Curran radio show….yes, they have a winning record but against what kind of competition and their conference record…well………is she going to tout her winning non-conf. record over her consistently losing record in conference play….geezus, can’t even qualify for conference playoffs so what’s good is her winning non-conf. record….oh, well, good with her mouth……the last coach wasn’t given half the opportunity that nagamine has been given to produce a winning soccer program…the only thing she got going for herself is that she’s local…..enough with this local yocal…….

You’re right. She’s going to use the excuse(s) of: practice field bad, locker room to small, home game field to far, etc. Just like other coaches who cannot produce!

I must agree. Not a big soccer fan, but a Big Hawaii Athletics Fan. When I saw the first couple of early season wins, it caught my interest.
The excitement of winning and new players (especially the kid from the Midwest). Then I see conference loses one after another. It’s time for a change.
