OCCC work furlough inmate fails to return to facility
A work furlough inmate has failed to return to the Oahu Community Correctional Center.
Raymond Racelis, 44, left for work Monday morning and was scheduled to return to Module 20 at the correctional facility by 5 p.m. The Department of Public Safety said he is a community custody inmate in the work furlough program.
The state sheriff’s office and police have been notified.
Racelis is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
He was serving time for unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle and now faces a second-degree escape charge. The public safety department said his next parole hearing is scheduled for March 2017.
Anyone who has information on the Racelis’ whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 586-1352.
