Aiea man charged with robbery

A 30-year-old man was charged Saturday with robbery after police said he injured people while trying to escape with stolen merchandise from a business in the Ala Moana area.

Warren Oliver, of Aiea, was charged with second-degree robbery. His bail was set at $50,000.

Police said Oliver caused someone bodily injury during his attempted escape at about 2:05 p.m. Friday. Police arrested Oliver about four and a half hours later at the Ala Moana Center.
