Freshman opposite Rado Parapunov put down 16 kills and No. 4 Hawaii won its ninth straight today, sweeping Lindenwood 25-21, 25-18, 26-24 in a nonconference volleyball match in St. Charles, Mo.
Sophomore hitter Brett Rosenmeier added a career-high 15 kills and junior libero Tui Tuileta 10 digs for the Rainbow Warriors (14-2), off to their best start since opening 14-1 in 1996. Hawaii rested a number of starters in its fourth match in six days.
Senior hitter Jake Duckworth had eight kills and freshman middle Sam Schindler added seven for the Lions (0-11) at Hyland Arena. It was just the second home match for Lindenwood, a fifth-year program competing in the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association.
Hawaii next hosts No. 9 Pepperdine in a pair of Mountain Pacific Sports Federation matches at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, and 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26.
