UH men’s volleyball sweeps CSUN

Sophomore opposite Stijn van Tilburg put down 13 kills and No. 4 Hawaii won its 20th consecutive home match tonight, sweeping No. 14 Cal State Northridge, 25-18, 25-23, 26-24 in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men’s volleyball contest at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The Rainbow Warriors (21-4, 11-4) outblocked the Matadors (12-13, 5-11) 9.5-4, with freshman middle Patrick Gasman in on five. Senior hitter Kupono Fey added 10 kills.

Junior opposite Arvis Greene had 17 kills and sophomore hitter Dimitar Kalchev 12 for CSUN, which lost its seventh straight.
