UH routs Cal Poly in first game of doubleheader

Shortstop Dustin Demeter, third baseman Josh Rojas and left-fielder Adam Fogel each drove in two runs to power the University of Hawaii baseball team to a 11-1rout of Cal Poly in the first game of a Big West doubleheader at Baggett Stadium.

The Rainbow Warriors amassed 18 hits to win their Big West opener. The game was rescheduled as part of a doubleheader following Friday’s rainout.

Every UH starting batter had at least one hit, led by center-fielder Dylan Vchulek’s 4-for-6 performance.

Brendan Hornung allowed six hits in pitching his third complete game of the season.
