A 39-year-old man died tonight after he lost control of his moped in Aiea, police said.

The man was driving a moped in the area of 98-1216 Kaonohi St. at 6:34 p.m. when he was ejected and collided with a mailbox, police said.

He was the 28th traffic this year on Oahu compared to 37 at the same time last year.
