Hawaii middle hitter Emily Maglio (19) and outside hitter Casey Castillo (17) go up to block UCLA middle blocker Madeleine Gates (16) during the third set of a women’s college volleyball game between the Hawaii Rainbow Wahine and the UCLA Bruins on Sunday, August 27, 2017 in Honolulu.

For the second straight week — and just the 12th time in its volleyball program history — Hawaii was unranked in the AVCA Coaches Division I Top 25 released today.

The Rainbow Wahine (2-4), who received 30 votes last week, were not among the 15 schools who received enough points to be mentioned. Big West member Cal Poly (5-1) garnered six points, placing the Mustangs at 34th.

Hawaii concludes its tournament schedule with the Outrigger Resorts Invitational that runs Thursday through Saturday. The Wahine open with No. 10 Brigham Young (6-0) followed by Nevada (2-4) on Friday and Baylor (4-2) on Saturday.

Also today, Minnesota (5-0) moved up a spot to No. 1, receiving 29 first-place votes. Florida (4-0, 21 votes) also moved up one place to No. 2 while Penn State (5-0, 3 votes) moved two spots to No. 3.
