Wahine basketball team picked fourth

Toeaina was named to the six-player preseason all-conference team in both the Big West preseason media and coaches polls.
The University of Hawaii women’s basketball team was selected fourth in both the Big West preseason media and coaches polls announced this morning.
UH senior Sarah Toeaina was named to the six-player preseason all-conference team in both polls.
Defending regular-season champion UC Davis was picked to win in the media poll with Cal State Northridge second. The Aggies and Matadors were swapped in the coaches poll. UC Santa Barbara was third in both polls.
The Rainbow Wahine have their Green and White intrasquad scrimmage at 7 p.m. Friday at the Stan Sheriff Center and host Hawaii Hilo in an exhibition next Wednesday. They open the season Nov. 10 at Portland.
The Big West men’s basketball preseason poll will be announced Thursday.
