Victims of Marco Polo fire must apply for SBA loans by today
Today is the deadline for victims of the Marco Polo fire to apply for the U.S. Small Business Administration’s loans for property damage.
The low-interest, long-term federal loans were made possible in September after Honolulu officials issued disaster declarations for the July 14 fire at the Marco Polo condominium in Honolulu.
The property damage loans are available to homeowners or renters to repair or replace disaster-damaged real estate and personal property, including automobiles.
The deadline to apply for economic injury disaster loans for businesses who lost income due to the fire is June 11.
Marco Polo owners and tenants can apply online or by mail. More information is available at www.sba.gov or by calling SBA’s customer service center at 1-800-659-2955.
