Hawaii catcher Kekai Rios slaps hands with Adam Fogel after scoring a run in the fifth inning of the BYU vs. UH baseball game at Les Murakami Stadium tonight.

Adam Fogel sprinted home from second on a wild throw in the eighth to help the University of Hawaii baseball team defeat Brigham Young 3-2 tonight at Les Murakami Stadium.

The score was tied at 2 in the eighth when Fogel hit a one-out single and, another out later, went to second when Eric Ramirez drew a walk. Ethan Lopez hit a liner that third baseman Nate Favero knocked down. But Favero overthrew first baseman Brian Hsu. Fogel dashed home with the ’Bows’ first lead of the game.

Despite BYU reaching on consecutive errors to open the ninth, Dylan Thomas earned his third save of the season and 12th of his two-season UH career.
