Brian Viloria dropped a bloody unanimous decision to Artem Dalakian on the undercard of tonight’s Superfly 2 event on HBO at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif.

Dalakian (16-0, 11 KOs) won the vacant WBA flyweight title winning 118-109 on all three judges’ scorecards.

The Star-Advertiser scored the fight 116-111 for Dalakian, who was deducted a point in the ninth round for repeatedly holding the back of Viloria’s head and pushing him to the ground.

Viloria suffered a nasty cut over his left eye in the 11th round when Dalakian grazed Viloria’s forehead with an illegal elbow that the referee missed.

From that point on, Viloria withstood his worst damage of the fight as the blood seemed to energize the Ukranian, who was fighting in the United States for the first time.

Viloria, 37, dropped to 38-6 overall and 8-6 in his career in world title fights.
