Johnny Weeks drove in the go-ahead run on a two-out double in the ninth and the Hawaii baseball team added two more runs on a Fresno State throwing error for an 8-5 road victory at Bennett Stadium.

The Rainbow Warriors hit four home runs — two by Ethan Lopez and one each by Adam Fogel and Troy Kakugawa — to take a 5-3 lead into the bottom of the eighth. But the Bulldogs scored two runs to tie it.

In the ninth, Dylan Vchulek hit a two-out single and Maaki Yamazaki drew a four-pitch walk. Weeks pulled a ground-rule double to left to score Vchulek with the go-ahead run. The ‘Bows extended the lead to 8-5 on third baseman JT Arruda’s throwing error.

UH closer Dylan Thomas earned the victory (3-1).

UH improved to 25-19. Fresno State fell to 27-23.
