FULLERTON, Calif. >> Seton Hall repelled Hawaii’s second comeback attempt en route to a 64-54 victory in the semifinals of the Wooden Legacy.

The Rainbow Warriors rebounded from an 11-point deficit to close to 47-44 on Eddie Stansberry’s 3-pointer from the top of the key.

But the Pirates went on a 12-2 run to regain dominance.

Miles Powell, who scored 40 points in Thursday’s opening round, was held in check most of the game by UH’s Sheriff Drammeh. But Powell scored on a step-back jumper and an all-net 3 during the surge. Powell finished with a game-high 19 points to help the Pirates advance into Sunday’s championship game against Miami.

Drammeh led the ’Bows with 14 points.

The ’Bows will play Fresno State in Sunday’s third-place game beginning at 11 a.m.
