Behind senior hitter Stijn van Tilburg’s 18 kills, No. 2 Hawaii remained undefeated at 18-0, sweeping McKendree 25-10, 25-19, 25-18, today at the Brigham Young Invitational in Provo, Utah.

Van Tilburg didn’t have a hitting error in 24 swings, hitting .750 at Smith Fieldhouse. Junior opposite Rado Parapunov, the reigning national player of the week, added 14 kills and three of the team’s four aces.

Hawaii ran its NCAA consecutive sets-won record to 54 against the Panthers (9-9). Parapunov and junior middle Patrick Gasman were both in on five of the Warriors’ nine blocks.

Brendon Dunn led McKendree with 12 kills.

Hawaii faces Princeton on Friday. The Tigers are playing the host Cougars later today.
